Onslow County Schools offers a wealth of opportunities in preparing students for their future endeavors. As a 1:1 district, we embrace technological integration by providing each student in grades 3-12 with a personal device for educational use both on and off campus. All teachers receive a device as well. Our elementary school curriculum includes instruction in the arts, world languages, STEM activities and global education. Secondary students have access to programs such as AVID, International Baccalaureate, initiatives from the National Math and Science Initiative, cultural arts, extracurricular activities and career and technical education (CTE).
The Eastern North Carolina Regional Skills Center further enhances our CTE offerings, providing advanced courses in automotive technology, culinary arts, cyber literacy and security, welding, firefighter technology, robotics and more.
Onslow County is home to the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, the largest Marine Base on the east coast. As a result, Onslow County has been experiencing tremendous growth, with the school district increasing by approximately 300 students per year on average. As the community grows, Onslow County Schools aims to continue expanding opportunities for our students and families.
