Program Info

The Elementary Education Residency Licensure Certificate is perfect if you want to become an elementary school teacher in North Carolina. It's designed for folks with a bachelor’s degree in any field who are already working in a local school district. This program lets you start teaching while you work towards your full North Carolina teaching license. You'll take six classes that cover all the skills you need to get certified by the NC Department of Public Instruction.

To earn your license, you'll also need to do some other stuff like pre-service training, pass state assessments, and meet the NC Teacher Evaluation System requirements. Once you've got your Elementary Education Residency Licensure Certificate, you'll be all set to make a real impact in elementary schools. You'll be laying the groundwork for your students' futures, both inside and outside the classroom.
