The National Indian Education Association is dedicated to improving educational opportunities to American Indians through its National Educator Initiative Project, free job board and policy advocacy.

The State Advisory Council on Indian Education, best known as SACIE, promotes academic excellence among American Indian students by providing culturally responsive instructional resources for educators, sharing yearly reports on issues that affect the community and providing professional development tools.

The Alliance for Heritage Conservation: The InHerit/Alliance for Heritage Conservation empowers Indigenous educators by working closely with community members and organizations to develop educational resources for teachers and students alike. InHerit advocates for reform school curricula to include and accurately represent native history and local heritage.

The American Indian College Fund gives scholarships to American Indian college students pursuing a higher education at tribal colleges and eligible universities. The awards range between $2,000 to $3,000.

The Triangle Community Foundation's North Carolina American Indian Fund Scholarship awards a one-time payment of $1,000 to North Carolina-recognized tribe members who plan on attending college.

The AIS scholarship offers up to $2,000 per school term to Native American students based on their financial need and proof of heritage.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)'s Frances Crawford Marvin American Indian Scholarship is awarded annually to one undergraduate student of American Indian descent. The candidate must have a 3.25 GPA, demonstrate financial need and show proof of their heritage.

Striving to increase the number of Indigenous teachers in the classroom, FATE offers professional development, mentorship and financial support for early-career educators. This program covers the price of tuition and fees, books, testing materials and education supplies.

The American Indian Leadership Program at Campbell University is a year-long educator training initiative that helps educators and aspiring community leaders to develop the skills to empower their community through mentorship, group projects and policy work.
