CCTI: Wake-Durham
About
CCTI: Wake-Durham is an accelerated alternative NC teacher licensure program. The program offers those with bachelors degrees in non-teaching areas the opportunity to become licensed North Carolina teachers. CCTI: Wake-Durham is a state-approved Educator Preparation Program for those looking to earn their license through the Residency Pathway. Participants complete all program requirements while teaching full-time in their districts. CCTI: Wake-Durham is an in-district Educator Preparation Program designed to support you as a beginning educator. We are honored to serve the resident educators in the Wake County Public School System and Durham Public Schools. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible for their Initial North Carolina Professional Educators License. CCTI: Wake-Durham provides flexible distance learning and hybrid learning options. We work under a cohort model where participants meet face-to-face or online with other beginning teachers to grow together. Each of our CCTI: Wake-Durham teachers receives one-on-one support from a Wake-Durham coach throughout their first year as a beginning teacher.
