Our schools are able to provide personal technology to almost every student in high school and middle school, plus all teachers are issued a device.   • For Teachers

    We proudly support beginning teachers through teacher buddies, instructional coaches as mentors, a monthly newsletter, quarterly meetings, live coaching and guidance with lesson planning, understanding data and classroom management. We also offer networking opportunities as well as opportunities to grow through professional development as a teacher leader.

  • Salary, Compensation & Benefits

    Burke County Public Schools provides a local supplement paid out twice a year. Each teacher is given an electronic devise and a perk includes discounted gym memberships.

  • Support For New Teachers

    All new teachers have access to a Teacher Buddy program that includes coaching from experienced mentors who will visit classrooms, provide lessons and meet regularly with their mentee. We also provide monthly newsletters and a personal device to all teachers.

  • For Students

    We encourage students to explore the teaching profession through a teacher academy and encourage teachers to advance their careers through a teacher leader cohort as well as support for new principals and assistant principals.
