About

Davidson County Schools are in the Piedmont area of North Carolina (“at the foot of the mountains”) in beautiful surroundings. The county is home to the Lexington Barbecue Festival where eastern and western flavors fight it out. There is something for everyone in Davidson County, including: boating and fishing at High Rock Lake, extreme sports at Elevated Wake Park, hiking trails in the Uwharrie National Forest and local parks, outdoor concert venues, local artists, and recently revitalized uptown shopping and activities. Our school system serves almost 18,000 students in 37 schools and we prepare them to enter the world ready to navigate challenges and construct successes!
