Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools (ECPPS) is located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Elizabeth City, known as the “Harbor of Hospitality”, and situated in Pasquotank County, is a beautiful waterfront community. Pasquotank County is home to nearly 40,000 residents. We are nestled in Northeast North Carolina, one hour from the Outer Banks and one hour from Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Enjoy a small town, riverfront community while being within an hour drive to relaxing sandy beaches in North Carolina, vibrant and exciting beaches in Virginia as well as an amphitheater, opera house, minor league baseball stadium, hockey, ballet and so much more in the Hampton Roads area which is also just an hour drive. ECPPS is home to seven elementary schools, two middle schools, two traditional high schools, one early college and one alternative school. We have a total student population of approximately 4,750 which includes Kindergarten through 12th grade. We also have approximately 113 enrolled in our Pre-K program. ECPPS partners with College of The Albemarle to provide the Career and College Promise program, providing students with dual enrollment opportunities. This is in addition to the opportunities provided by ECP Early College. We also have a robust Career and Technical Education program which provides students with an average of 1600 career credentials each year. Many of our students graduate from high school prepared to immediately enter the workforce while others graduate with a high school diploma and associate’s degree. ECPPS provides a quality education for all students.
