Piedmont Community Charter School is a college preparatory K-12 school, where students receive a well-rounded education focused on academics, character and community. Piedmont currently serves over 1,300 students on two campuses. The new high school campus will open in August 2020. It will hold 600 students, which is 150 per grade level. Our students have exposure to a rich academic curriculum, diverse fine arts, competitive athletics and well- developed programs that celebrate and inspire excellent student achievement and character.
Piedmont scored in the top 20% in the state for exceeding academic growth. The Career and College Promise (CCP) program at Gaston College has a strong history with 52% of juniors and seniors dually enrolled in a tuition-free college program. Since 2012, Piedmont has provided every student 3rd grade and up with a laptop. The Charlotte Business Journal researched the high schools in seven counties in the Charlotte area. They ranked Piedmont #24 out of 129 high schools based on ACT composite scores. Piedmont students practice leadership skills for tomorrow by serving their community today.
