Scotland County is in the southeastern region of North Carolina, adjacent to the South Carolina line, close to Wilmington, the state’s largest port. The rich culture from the original Lumbee Tribe, Scots Highlanders, and African slaves and their descendants, provide a rich mixture of heritage, food, traditions, and experiences for the 5,700 students we serve in the Scotland County School System. We partner with families and the community to ensure that every child’s needs are met at each of our 10 schools.
