Meet Tyler Brown
Teacher Ambassador
Wilson County Schools is an awesome place to work and learn. From the moment I was interviewed at the end of 2016 through today, I have always been welcomed, valued, and respected, and I have grown as an educator. I especially appreciate this because from my own experience this is sadly not the case in every school district. I encourage any educator looking for a home to consider Wilson County Schools.

Why I Teach
I teach because I love to help students grow into productive, well-rounded citizens. I challenge my students to become enlightened (have the ability to think for yourself), develop their collaboration skills, and practice the lost art of civil discourse. I also develop my students 21st Century skills in order to prepare them to become successful adults. There is no greater thrill than watching my students succeed. Teaching high school is an especially important age group for me as my mother passed away when I was in the 9th grade. Without the support of my teachers and coaches, in addition to my family, I do not know how I would have made it through that challenging time or where I would be today. It is my goal to provide the same support for my students that was given to me.
