As part of Piedmont Legacy Trails, Yadkin County has any number of walking, biking, horse, canoe, and kayak trails and we are home to 12 award winning vineyards. Our rural atmosphere allows the family of Yadkin County Schools to be big enough to provide many educational opportunities, yet small enough to know every student personally. We serve over 5,000 students at 14 Pre-K - 12 schools, including an early college, and prepare them all to be collaborative, life-long learners and responsible citizens.
Yadkin County Schools has compassionate, respectful, and enthusiastic staff who support our students in their educational experiences. We work beside our supportive community for our students. Our Continuous Improvement Plan is aimed at increasing student achievement, rigor, and promoting innovation and creativity. All schools have implemented structures to allow our Professional Learning Teams to collaborate, integrate and adjust needs-based instruction to meet all of the needs of every student.
Yadkin County Schools salary and benefits are competitive in our local educational region as well as across the state of North Carolina. We are proud of the work our teachers do in our district and pay them accordingly for their talent and expertise.
