About
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is located in the Charlotte, North Carolina region and provides academic instruction to more than 148,299 K-12 students in 176 schools. CMS believes setting high standards for all students creates a greater opportunity for future success – in our communities, within the region and across our diverse and global society. Each day, CMS students are prepared to be leaders in a technologically savvy and globally competitive world. The goal of the program is for the CMS Teaching Residency to be a high-quality, research-based, accelerated training and licensure program that recruits and retains new teachers to meet the academic, social, emotional, and cultural needs of CMS students. The 2020 cohort includes general elementary, secondary science, secondary ELA and secondary math.
They give you certain scenarios, they give you techniques and certain strategies to use and when that doesn't work they give you another strategy to use because every classroom is different.
