
Greensboro College is a private liberal arts institution affiliated with the Methodist Church. It was established in 1838 and is located on 60 acres of tree-line property in the Greensboro’s historic district. The College serves approximately 1000 students from more than 30 states and 15 different countries. Students define their path through intentional advising, service learning, common experiences and internships all guided by the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) which provide learning experiences and opportunities that promote success for all students. Greensboro College’s Teacher Education Program offers degree-seeking and licensure-only post-baccalaureate programs in 17 licensure areas, as well as M.Ed. and M.A.T master’s degree programs. In addition, GC works diligently with surrounding school systems to provide Clinical Resident plans for lead teachers seeking licensure. All programs are rich in clinical experiences and provide edTPA preparation and support. Programs are offered in formats that meet the needs of students with active lives, professional commitments and personal responsibilities.
