Undergraduate students in the Teacher Licensure Professional Program major in the subject they intend to teach. At UNCA, we believe students are best served by focusing on their area of passion, and licensure is a professional addition to that degree. By combining courses in content area, psychology, teaching methodology, and liberal studies, students develop a broad knowledge base. Furthermore, our professors are deeply embedded in our mountain community, and students have the opportunity to practice what they are learning by completing field work in the Asheville area's public schools. True to the UNCA vision, our program is highly relational and highly experiential. You will know your instructors, have access to your instructors, and have multiple opportunities to practice what you are learning in the real world.
