William Peace University's mission is to prepare students for careers in the organizations of tomorrow. Rooted in the liberal arts tradition, the student develops an appreciation for life-long learning, a focus on meaningful careers and skills for ethical citizenship.
William Peace University is a private college located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. WPU has been affiliated with the Presbyterian Church for more 150 years. WPU is ranked in the top 10 percent for Effective Teaching (National Survey of Student Engagement) and boasts a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio. All students are taught by faculty (no teaching assistants). WPU offers education programs in Elementary Education, Dual Licensure in Elementary Education and Special Education General Curriculum, along with programs in Middle School English/Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. We also over licensure-only programs in Elementary Education, Dual Licensure in Elementary Education and Special Education Dual Licensure, along with Special Education Adapted Curriculum.
My favorite thing about teaching is the relationships with the kids.
