* Update for School Closures *

Educators are the most innovative, creative and hardworking people we know! With schools closed to slow the spread of coronavirus, how have you rearranged curriculum and projects for at-home learning? We'd love to hear about it!

About the Campaign

Teachers educate, inspire and support students and help them build and embrace their identities and create space for inclusion. Tell us how you're creating equitable and inclusive practices, especially in the current online and at home learning moment.

Send us short "microstories" of about 100 words along with a photo, or tag us in your story online.

When We'll Publish Your Story

We’ll feature your entries on throughout the month of June (and beyond!).

How to Submit

  • Write a super-short story or description about how you support students during Pride and all year long—it should be about 100 words.
  • Include a great photo of yourself or your project!
  • Email it to us at nc@teach.org.
  • Or, post your written story on social and tag @TeachNCorg using the #Pride and #bwsNC hashtags.
  • Celebrate Pride—by June 12

    About the Campaign

Changing lives isn’t easy, but it’s critical work. Join forces with TeachNC to share your teaching victories and spread the message—teaching is a profession that shapes lives and communities.

The Better Work Stories campaign promotes real stories about real teachers making an impact in the classroom. We're collecting videos and stories by North Carolina teachers that highlight the impact of educators.

    When We'll Publish Your Story

We’ll feature these stories during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8, 2020, on our social channels and on our Better Work Stories page.

    How to Submit

    • Grab any device with a camera.
    • Record a short video telling about your best teaching win! (It's easy! Here's some advice.)
    • Prefer to write it? Jot down your story in 100 words or less and include a photo of yourself.
    • Post your video or written story on social and tag @TeachNCorg using the #bwsNC hashtag.
    • Or email it to us at nc@teach.org.
