I am a product of Whiteville City Schools. I graduated from Whiteville High School in 1997. When I was offered the opportunity to work for my Alma Mater, I jumped at the chance. Whiteville City Schools has always maintained a prestigious reputation for academics, sports and camaraderie among it's faculty and staff. This is still true today. I feel blessed and honored to work with such an amazing staff at Whiteville High School.

Why I Teach

I would have to give most of the credit to my students. It is because of them that I love going to work each day. I think I learn just as much from them as they do from me at times. One of the biggest and most important lessons they have taught me over the years is to think before I speak or react. We never know what a child endures from day to day, so I have learned to be mindful of how I respond to various situations that may occur during their time with me. They are the reason why I have stuck around for the last fifteen years.
